Open University module on Lennox Castle

The Open University has launched OpenLearn, which aims to broaden access to education by making course materials freely available on the internet. There are units available on a variety of subjects including business and management, health and lifestyle, IT and computing, study skills and many others.

Of particular note is Unit K100_7 Lennox Castle Hospital. This unit looks at the history of institutions in the twentieth century, starting with a case study of Lennox Castle Hospital near Glasgow. It considers the history of Lennox Castle, and of institutional life in general, through video testimonies of those who experienced life in the institutions as patients and as nurses.
